What kinds of schools are available through CREC?
CREC Schools offer a theme-based approach to learning and serve students from age 3 through high school. For more information, view Our Schools.
Who may apply to CREC Schools?
Any student from CREC’s 35 member districts can apply. Students are selected by lottery.
What is the application process like?
The application form is straightforward. Students are asked to complete basic demographic information and rank up to five school choices.
When are applications due?
On-time applications are due by January 20, 2012. Applications are available at www.choiceeducation.org or by calling the Regional Schools Choice Office at (860) 713-6990.
How does the lottery process work?
Notifications will be mailed in early April. Students can either accept or reject their placement. If they refuse a placement, they can enter a waiting list. Students must reapply every year.
