Musical Theater Students Learn from Broadway Pros

Musical Theater students at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts are taking advantage of multiple masterclasses from various well known performing artists.

On Tuesday, January 3, various students received intensive vocal instruction from Kyle Taylor Parker, and Angela Grovey, who are both starring off Broadway in Finian’s Rainbow at the Irish Repertory Theatre in New York City.

On Monday January 9th, Musical Theater students will take part in another masterclass. This one will be from Lindsay Mendez, who most recently has been seen in the revival of Tennessee Williams’ “The Rose Tatoo” and has starred as Elphaba in the Broadway hit Wicked.

Masterclasses are an invaluable part of the curriculum as well as an excellent opportunity for the Academy’s young aspiring artists to learn from the pros in a group setting.

The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts is performing Finian’s Rainbow in the Black Box Theater, opening January 20th and running until January 28th
